Blais' mother had him in oil painting classes since he was 10 years old and grew up "doing art." Nature, specifically trees have served as an inspiration over the years, but lately colors have been occupying his attention. You will find him sketching, doing pastels, charcoal, and painting at any given time. He loves creating a 3-dimensional look on a 2-dimensional surface.
